IT'S TEAM TRACK TUESDAY 10/18/16 Edition!!!!  Share photos of activity on your railroad's team track this week.  Team tracks are a vital part of day to day railroad operations in rural, small town, and big cities.  Create new team track scenes on your railroad and share them in this thread each week.  Photos of real railroad team track operations are welcome too ... for they help inspire us modelers to create scenes on our miniature railroad.

This week on the Free State Junction Railway, the B&O  big hook is being positioned next to a well car by a B&O Docksider.  A shipment of large transformers are being unloaded to be transported by truck to the PPP ( Patsburg Power Plant ) facility near by.  Have a great week everyone!!!IMG_1766IMG_1764IMG_1756IMG_1757IMG_1762IMG_1765IMG_1771IMG_1758IMG_1760

Team Track wrigley fieldHere's a prototype photo from 1967. These are Cubs fans waiting to enter Wrigley Field, which is located just to the left out of the photo. They are walking past two boxcars that were spotted on the team track just west of the ballpark. The street in the background is Clark Street, with Addison Street just beyond it. The tracks are long since paved over for parking. The photo was posted on the NRHS FB page today.

It's a busy day at the Garyville Motorsports Park. The US Army has brought in a flatcar to display the Tony "The Sarge" Schumacher, NHRA top fuel dragster. The Micro Racer Team has sent cars in by rail, and the milk still needs to be delivered.

JayJay, We had a few Henry's Hamburgers in Detroit in the 1960's. Great bag of fries for ten cents.

For the signs, I Googled images of "blue flag" and "derail", downloaded them, printed them out, and glued them onto some card stock, Then I cut them out and glued the "sign" onto some wire. the "derail" itself is some scraps of styrene glued together. It's not really an accurate representation, but close enough. I made the blue light by gluing styrene into a box then drilled a hole for the lens which is a clear craft bead. I lighted the signal with an Evan's designs blue nano LED inserted into the light through the bottom from underneath the track. The handle is a simple loop of wire.

Here is another shot of the Wrigley Field team PCC car at Wrigley fieldtrack, looking north rather than south, and taken much earlier, probably about 1950. You can see how close the track was to the ballpark.
