Once again IT'S TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!!! Share your railroad's team track photos here! Team tracks are a vital part of the day to day real railroad operations. Team tracks are found in rural areas, small towns, and large cities. Team tracks are used to unload/load all kinds of freight cars, some passenger head end equipment, and MOW equipment too. In - other - words team tracks are sidings that do not have a single designated purpose ... unlike those sidings that service a specific industry such as a fuel oil distributor, lumber yard, cement plant, etc.

Remember this thread is meant to inspire one another! Photos of finely detailed models to a simple loop of tin plate track with an undesignated siding ( and all models in between ) are most welcome!!!

Tim -  Thanks so much for stepping in and getting this thread started last week!!  I love your friend's, Doug W, Independence Day train!!  Hot dogs, burgers, relish, onions, and chile .... now that is a freight train calling to be unloaded on any team track for sure!  All this train is missing is a car load of RED WHITE and BLUE beer

Mark -  I'm sorry to hear about your stitches and hope you are mending well!   It's a good idea to always wear safety gear when around the team track, especially when that overhead crane is in operation

Very nice photos everyone and great story Tomlinsonrun!!

Today on the team track number one in lower Patsburg, a boxcar load ( remember I model the late 40's - 1959ish ) of Tucker Torpedos is being unloaded.  Lots of people snagged great 4th of July blowout deals at the local Tucker dealership and the dealer is now restocking the showroom and car lot.  The foreman is waiting on the tractor trailer auto racks to show up so he can get these Tuckers loaded and off the railroad property.  He has a sense that these cars could cost somewhere in the high six digits or perhaps 7 digits one day.

Have a most fun and creative week everyone!! IMG_2969IMG_2977IMG_2971IMG_2973IMG_2975IMG_2978IMG_2972IMG_2970IMG_2590IMG_2592

This weeks will be very interesting.  My dad who works for the Port of San Diego was working yesterday on the 10th Ave., Marine terminal. A windmill train from Texas arrived yesterday morning and he took some pictures and some photos I'm working on the Videos right now and I will put out a video eventually.

Hello everyone. First, thanks for asking Patrick, I'm doing good, you know stuff happens. Again, I'm sorry about last week, I feel awful for not getting the thread started.Don't have anything new this week, as I am finishing up some projects. So considering, the Fourth of July has passed, the local grocers and Mom and Pop corners stores are all out of Heinz products, prompting a call for a shipment to keep those backyard barbecue grills going...

Happy TTT to All!

Great posts everyone!

Patrick- those are some sharp looking cars.

Mark- good timing- still in BBQ season so one can never have too much ketchup.

Another new arrival on the RSJ&B this week as the fleet continues to grow. Now I need to get shelves up on the walls to put the equipment I'm not running on.
PRR 2232 is bringing in the new TOFC equipment to start providing service to the locals. Not sure what's in the trailers but maybe the crew will get them unloaded next week. The Team tracks are still pretty packed due to the above mentioned storage issues.

All the foreman can do at this point is scratch his head (he seems to do a  lot of that ), and park the trailer on the main line for now.

Hi Mark - Glad to hear that you are OK.  Certainly no worries regarding not starting the thread last week.  Stuff happens and we all must take care of first things first.  Some days life takes us on a different course than whatever we planned.  Just glad to hear that you are OK ... that's what really counts!!

Heinz 57 is my favorite ketchup btw!   I love the detail and the light heartedness of your scenes!!

Great photos everyone!!

SIRT - without a doubt your work is superb!!  I love the rusted chains ... nice touch.   How did you get them to look that way?

RSJB18 - you certainly have an ultra busy railroad!!  I'm sure those trailers will eventually be unloaded as soon as the foreman and his crew can get to it.  They may have to work overtime ... sounds like

Tim - those propellers are HUGE!!  Thanks for sharing those photos!

Brian - BNSF and Alaska ... two great railroads!!  I'll be those crews won't be sitting around too long before the dispatcher puts them to work.  Nice narrative to accompany your photos too!

AZGARY - nice looking load of autos!! MPC orange is definitely a color that may well glow in the dark.  Your layout looks great!!

Mark - again love the details and light heartedness in your scene!!

Thanks to all those who stopped by the team track to browse this week and thanks to all those who contributed too!!   See you next Tuesday on the Team Track!!  Have a wonderfully fun and creative week!
