Picked this set up today at TCA figuring it is a pretty common transition era set, but I do not find this set number on the Ives Train Society website. What does the rubber stamped Y indicate? Also the power house has no electronics in it. Is this common?

mine does not have the cutout arc (for a speed control?) but is the same as this side on the other side (with the "STATION" graphic on both ends).  one end has the three holes that i assume were for connecting posts.  perhaps a fixed output version was used with an external rheostat?

cheers...gary
