Joe, I laid my track too and wish I had painted the ply brown or green before I tracked the boards to be part way to scenery. Just a little work to glue and spread some grass to cover the layout to get the bulk of it done. Then i would just have to add more detail scenery atop that. Now I have ot work around that track. boo. Guess I will spray oil color paint on the tracks to age them in place and then then do the grass detail qnd lastly the ballast.

Having owned a large metal red iron building, I can see that your model is perfect.

Thanks all. I made the trusses out of plywood. I just laid them out as a guess. I should have made them in 1 piece. Instead I had to glue the legs on. The building is a little rough in person. It captured the look of what I wanted.
Hi Joe,

Looks like the layout is coming along nicely. Hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of embeding your video.

I really love the look of your engine shed. The interior lighting looks spot on for HID industrial overhead fixtures. The exterior lights also look great. The different color washing the side of the building is very realistic. That's one place where dull coat would actually detract for the effect. The glossier finish looks just right for a metal building.
