I have a K-Line GS6 engine product number K3697-0486 that will not chuff in either TMCC or Conventional modes. All other features work just fine. I've tried doing a reset multiple times with zero results. Ideas or help is appreciated and I thank you in advance.

Loose connection or broken wire within the tether. Failed cherry switch chuff actuator. The failure to chuff whereas other railsounds remain generally indicates lost continuity in the chuff actuator circuit.

Bruce,
Thanks I had wondered about the tether so I've toned it out and all leads check out. I assume(hate to) the cherry switch is located somewhere in the engine.
Hopefully someone else knows the exact location, but the switch on my K-Line K4s is under the forward positioned motor. The K4s poses no troubles in removing the shell for access.

With this one the motor is situated at the rear. I've started tracing the wiring from the plug at the back of the engine. Thanks for the assist.
Sometimes the cam on the axle below the switch can be bad, to the point it just spins on the axle and won't activate the switch. Sometimes a dab of CA glue will cure it...

Thanks,
