This engine new(2005) came with a bag of spare parts that included the tender red lamps on back and the bulbs that go in them. Does anyone have this kit and would sell me one of the tender lamp housings and bulb?
If this is the scale Hudson, I believe they use LED's for tender and boiler markers. No spares included in the box. (I think the cab nos are 5343 and 5344.)
If yours uses grain of wheat bulbs, I think it must be an earlier K-Line?
I actually have a 5279 Kline semi scale Hudson here. It uses 18 volt grain of rice bulbs. The correct tender marker lights are not available now but the 5335 uses the same ones and there was a kit that came with each one providing replacements. I found that out through extensive searching. Brassuers has nothing for it. This engine I think is from around 2005 or maybe a bit earlier. There was a 5279 from 2007 but it has TMCC and all the other fancy stuff where as this one has none of that nor did the 5335.
Rob, I have a 5335. I'll try and remember to check tonight on marker light type and check to see if Precision Scale makes a similar housing. The conventional 5335 was made much earlier like 2000. I bought mine used and don't have any spare markers.
Rob, It looks like the Precision Scale PSH-40991 is closest to the ones used by K-Line on the 5335 tender. They do not come with jewels and there is no indication what size would fit. PSC offers many sizes so best bet is to email them. Phone calls are hit and miss.
Caboose Hobbies in Denver might have them in stock. PSC has minimum orders.
Thanks Norton, I will look into it. I appreciate the work you did to find that. There is a Lionel one that looks similar but the wire has to go through the bottom instead of the side. That is what I have right now.
