Brad,

They're gorgeous, overpriced, shelf queens. Just like show cars you take somewhere in a covered trailer. I had a cement gon that had to be re-worked because the bolsters sat at 2 different heights, couplers that don't connect to anything else, and all 4 axles had to be re-gauged because they jumped switches and the back to back gauge was wrong. Other than that?

Brad,

I have about a dozen of Rich's hoppers and 2 of his Baldwin switchers. Most are Pennsy with a few others thrown in for variety. I am a coal train fanatic with a wide variety of stuff from plastic, resin, wood, tin and brass. But my favorites are Rich's and some of Steve Grabowski's. I regularly run 40 hoppers with 1 engine on some very stiff grades at Cherry Valley.
