LED lighting strips...cover? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have two rather long stretches of LED strip lighting under my elevated track. While I'm not that bothered by seeing each individual LEDs in videos, I was wondering if there was a way to soften the light so they are diffused. I have to keep what ever covers them to a minimum as I do run a few engines with pantographs. So in the video, you can see the cantilever posts...whatever covers the LED strip can't go below the support. Thanks

Ed,

I've had occasion to do the same. My solution was to paint the individual LED's. Very simple, takes no space. A few experiments with color and amount on another small strip should yield the result you're looking for.

Slide them into a piece of white plastic tubing.
