I inadvertently had two Legacy engines with the same ID on the same track the other night. Using a Cab 1 they would both startup and run etc all in perfect harmony. So I tried resetting one to another ID using the Cab 1, then the other, after which nothing would run even with my Cab 2.

The next day I used the Cab 1 to do an engine reset on both along with a new ID on one. After this they both work fine using Cab 1. But the one engine that was programmed into the Cab 2 will not respond to Cab 2 at all now, even tho it uses the same ID as it always did. Do I have to delete it and reload it into Cab 2? Or what?

Sorry to ask what is likely a simple question, but I am not a big Legacy user.

Thanks, Rod

That's the first I've heard that Legacy cab-2 will not run TMCC engines. Is that correct? I have no Legacy engines and no command system, but I do have a couple TMCC engines.. I thought I should skip directly to Legacy cab-2 and be ready in case I buy Legacy equipped engines.

Paul didn’t say you couldn’t use a CAB2, he said you couldn’t use Legacy commands. You just have to set the “info” to TMCC
