I have a 6-11264 K4 and some of the sounds stopped working. The whistle and bell sounds still do their thing but I am NOT getting any chuff/working sounds from the tender. What is strange is the tender makes idle sounds if I disconnect it from the loco but not when paired up with the loco. I have tried resetting the engine and fooling with the volume on both the tender and the legacy controller with no luck. Please let me know if have any leads as to what may be going on, thanks.

I'm not sure this is your problem but it's the first thing to try:
There are 2 volume levels accessible from the legacy remote.
Pushing the just volume up button repeatedly is the overall volume.
Pushing aux1-Vol up, aux1-Vol up, aux1-Vol up......raises the background sounds i.e. the chuffing etc.
Well raise my rent, I just tried aux1 Vol-up and it worked! Thanks RICKO! No idea how it got turned down in the first place but now I know how to fix it.
I'm glad that worked Doug! Your not the first. You probably inadvertently turned it off.

Lionels instructions are not very clear on how to adjust the two levels.
