One of my legacy remotes sends a signal continously (Green lights on TPC's and ASC's are flashing continuously) somtimes when first turned on or shortly after. It doesn't seem to be that a key, knob or rocker switch is stuck. It is cured only by removing batteries or depressing the reset button on the back. At first I thought it might be the Brake / Boost rocker, but moving it or any other switch has no effect -  nor does turning it off and on.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with their remote?

Hi,

It's normal for the second LED (From the left when looking face on.) to flash all the time. This should flash slowly when the unit is not active, and more rapidly when in use.

I believe that the OP is concerned with the first LED, which flashes to indicate data is being received by the unit.

I had the same expirence!  I went to turn on my "Backup" CAB 2 the other day. Nothing, the screen was blank. Called Lionel, they gave me an RA# (even though it was 3 years old) and I sent it off 1st class Priority Mail. They said it couldn't be repaired and the next day they sent be a "BRAND NEW" Cab2. The whole process took approx. 8 Days!!

FANTASTIC SERVICE!!!

Keep up the GOOD work!!

Well it turns out I spoke too soon. Still have the same problem.  It seems to be the brake signal is being sent continuously.  The vibrator is turning constantly but the brake / boost button is not stuck.  Taking the batteries out completely or hitting the reset button on the back is the only way to stop it. Sometimes it stops, and sometimes it starts again after only a very short period of time.

Any Ideas?

Is the train stopping when this happens? Have you tried shutting off the vibration? IMO the "vibrating feature" is a poorly working idea to begin with, mine is barely noticable that it is even operating. The only way I could tell was by putting my ear up to the remote and I could hear it spinning. I turned it off 1/2 hour after I set up the remote and never use it, IMO it probably wastes more battery power than its worth.
