Lionel already has the steam blowdown effect in the legacy remote. If you cycle it correctly but push/release as a steamer starts out out from a stop you can almost simulate leaving from a station (i.e. Cylinder steam exhaust). Any reason this has never been incorporated into a keypad option?
I'm still green about stuff this technical so dead sure Gunrunnerjohn has an explanation.

The s3 and the other engines with steam blowdown have this sound affect with blowdown steam at start up . It's awesome and Sadley they never used it again.
