A few of the NS Heritage Units, SP Daylight and a few others...... How about you?????????????

I find it hard to believe there is not a price listed for the CAB-1L, why even put something out without a price;

For sure: only the Southern Pacific GS-6 (6-11421).  Will stop by my LHS on the way home today and place an order.  I thought long and hard about the GS-2 or 6 and decided I liked the look without the side shrouds a bit more . . .

Maybe the N&W J, but . . . not sure yet.

I'm thinking about another 0-4-0 shifter.  I pick up mine, pre-ordered last March, today on the way home.  If it is a nice loco, I may get a second: I like the looks of the Denver and Rio Grand one.

That's it for me.

I think that there are some nice new items in there. The CAB-1L remote, base and the Legacy powermaster should be very popular, both as add-on's and also as a lower cost alternative to a full Legacy system. Also, they look to be a good solution for replacements of ageing TMCC systems. I'll be ordering the S.P. Tanktrain sets, and I'm sure that others will be very happy to see the extra tanktrain cars in other road-names.  I also need to calculate how many body parts I'll need to sell for the NS heritage fleet.

The Baldwin Shark Nose are more attractive at the moment.

I agree Marty words cant explain how badly they fumbled the ball on this..

I truly have to think about it.. I really dont want to buy a J and 2 years later when they do put a smoking whistle or steam affects in it like they should of and then lose my butt on it to sell it for the new one...

So whos selling the j 611 and gs4s cause i am probley gonna buy the old ones..

On the fence about the Mohawk, but without the extra effects, I'm sure plenty will be available after it ships. If the GS-6 had wartime lettering (LINES) I would have been all over it, but postwar lettering doesnt do it for me.

IMO if they're going to basically "reprint" the last catalog, the least they can do is change the road numbers. I'd buy a 3rd powered BN SD-40, but the road numbers are the same.

Looks like this is going to be a cars catalog for me... couple sets of auto racks and an NS Heritage unit (the PRR unit is too sharp to pass up).

There is a few items in there that I like, but really only 2 that are must haves.  They are the CN and NS GATX 2-Car add on packs.  I really like the 3-bay open hopper packs so might look at those as well, but really only 2 must haves right now.

I really wanted to see some more Husky Stacks for I think that they make a great car in those, hopefully in 2013 will see them return.

I bought the last Lionel #611 and paired it to the five car MTH smooth sided  N&W cars. Its a perfect match at far less cost especially if you find them as I did in the secondary market .

Page 140 Lists the O gauge Tubular track. On a side not, shipping was updated again today on their site. The PWC/CC Sets are moved back to November, The Control Tower till December, The Auto Train still at December, and the Rotary Coal Tipple and Conveyor to June 2013!!!  Also, I wonder if the SP Oil Can Set in Volume 2 is scheduled to be released this year, or next year?? I am sure the original oil can set from 2003? will drop in price...Also noticed alot of SP Daylight Engines from the past couple of years are starting to show up...

That would be my fear as well.  If I knew this would not be re-released within 5 years of now with the extra steam effects, I maybe more apt to spring for it.

I see a blowout in the future. All the stuff that has been re-cataloged and already delivered means that they still have it in stock. Also I think that China is giving them fits when it comes to production.

This is also why the upgrades like whistle steam, swinging bell and some others  on the steam engines will be on hold until they are assured about production. This is only an opinion on my part  but knowing manufacturing in Asia this is my best guess.

I agree.

Has the Santa Fe 3751 been released previously?

Doug

I'm very pleased that they have listed the two-packs of the auto racks.  (I did not want to have to buy the csx loco to get the autoracks in the last catalog).  I would really like to get the bnsf brown ones, plus a set or two of the yellow ones.

I can't imagine having 24" long single cars of rolling stock on my layout.  Can my little o-72 curves really handle it?  Its hard to imagine (yes I know it says o54 and higher)
