One of my friends who recently retired is packing up and moving from IL to AZ. As they say, you can't take everything. I was given a box of his Dads old trains. In the box was a Marx 666, that has already been cleaned, lubed and passed along to another in our group.

That leaves me with the 265e. As you can see in the pics, it was well used!! I also have the tender and five other cars. I'm not looking to restore anything, just get all the parts and get it running again. Where would be the best place to find parts for something this old? I will admit, this is the oldest engine I've ever had. Thanks!E1E2E3E4

Jeff...hate to tell you this ,but she's a goner...the only thing you can do is use the parts to restore another 265....the body is cast in 1 piece so unless you have the broken parts your out of luck....you can also offer it for parts....someone somewhere is looking to restore a 265...hope this helps...all the best...joe

Don't give UP!...With all the different  adhesives on the market today you can find some thing to rebuild the cab. I added length  and width to to this tinplate roof with  copper wire solder and Bondo. Adhere a thin metal plate to the underside of the cab and build it up with Bondo. I replaced the cow catcher on my Lionel 261 with liquid solder and it has held up for years. I use Dr. Tinker for my parts.   dave@drtinkertrains.com

That engine can be saved no problem.  If you don't want it let me know and maybe we can make a deal.  Sure it needs a cab ($30), front grill ($5), and maybe drivers ($40) plus other parts..... LMAO, but it is definitely savable.  At least I should say there are those of us out here that are of that mind set.  I have dealt with much worse.60339683_1051698335036449_3201795954780930048_n60441101_1051698251703124_2132530977057013760_n60645957_1051698231703126_5885371145720430592_n60691710_1051698245036458_625536191088820224_nIMG_0558IMG_0559IMG_0563IMG_0565IMG_0567IMG_2769IMG_2774IMG_2775IMG_2776
