I have a Lionel #28238 Canadian Pacific Dash 9 Engine from the Grain Train Set that lights up but does not move, it seems to be stuck in command mode. I was switching it from one part of the layout to another section that is conventional. How do I place the engine back into conventional mode. Thanks.

Did you try un-plugging the Command base???

What Martin said. A command engine will sense the command signal if it is anywhere near a track connected to an active command base - even if there is no physical connection between the two parts of the layout.

Thank you that worked, so I can not have legacy in use anywhere on the layout even thought I was using it only for 2 loops and the others conventional. So much for the Christmas present my wife got me this year. Thanks for the help.
