Hi,

I would like to know the pros and cons of this Lionel PRR round roof, double door, 40 foot, X31A, box car.

I am unable to find prototypical photos. of this car, with the same markings, etc.

This, car has NO reporting marks initials, over the road numbers, on the 'A' & 'B' ends, so I don't know if, this is another one of Lionel's foul-ups, or prototypically the car was mostly meant to run on PRR's home tracks.

I bought this car at my local hobby shop for thirty dollars, minus its' box and I checked it over carefully, as it is in excellent shape.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This has already been FULLY discussed (at least two pages) over on the 2-Rail Scale Forum. It is still on the first page, about 8 or 10 subjects down from the top. I don't know how to ling you to it, but you can't miss it. You will learn more then you ever wanted to know about those PRR X31A boxcars.
