Hi everybody, I own a Lionel k-4 #1361 the legacy model. I have been having a little problem with the rear coupler I cant pull anything with it, without it coming undone, at first I was thinking that maybe the engine could only handle so many cars, but soon enough I had her just running light and it still comes undone, any help as to how I could fix this is greatly appreciated!

Hello. I had the same problem with mine. It turned out to be a tmcc/legacy issue believe it or not. The electronics would actually erroneously fire the coupler. if that is the case you'll need to get an "ra" return authorization from Lionel and sent it to them and they will fix it.
Knock on wood my K4 has been fine. I'm still running TMCC and plan to upgrade to Legacy this year.
A 50 microfarad non-polarized capacitor across the coupler leads. There may be one that is not working.
