I received one of the new Lionel Legacy Diesel engines that can be run by Bluetooth or the universal remote. Everything connected as promised as far as being to operate the locomotive and being able to use the horn, bell and crew talk. However, the RPM level does not change when it is going forward or reverse. It just stays in the idle mode. Does anyone know if this is to be expected beacause I am not using TMCC or the Legacy base?

Does anyone have a Legacy engine that they are running with the Lionchief app or the universal remote? I am just looking for someone that has run one and can at least describe the difference in the railsounds when using the Legacy remote.
In regards to just Railsounds, Legacy gives rpm levels changing, brake squeal, choice in crew talk of engineer or dispatcher speaking, and affirmative or negative responses. The quality of the horn and bell seem identical.
