Hey Lionel fans, if you have this lighthouse - can you please check yours and let me know the wiring scheme, see below. Mine is missing the terminal screws and the wiring from where should be the terminal screws to the contacts that control the foghorn. On lower right side of photo, you see two screw contacts for AC power. Next to them are two black holes where the foghorn switch would normally connect to. Those internal wires from foghorn terminals should go somewhere - you can see contacts on left side of photo. My hunch is they would connect to two of the three terminals, but before trial and error and risking damage to the whole thing, I'd rather see if someone else can give me a clear path forward.

Thanks.

Thanks, Steims. Mine is certainly missing some wiring! This may not be as straightforward as I hoped it would be.

My bet was, the board failed or they didn't want sound, removed all the wiring and made a DIY repair.

Again, betting if you remove the building- there may be entire boards missing.

Actually Paul, maybe not.  From your original post I couldn't quite tell what wires and what terminal you were concerned about.  So, I found a pic of another lighthouse for reference but not your exact model.  The 6-24119 included a remote trigger button and so it needed terminals to connect.  It comes like this:

On your model there was no remote trigger hence, no trigger terminals.  The words are on the plate but nothing goes there.  See below:

The way you activate your foghorn is with the Horn/Whistle button on your transformer.  Instruction page below:

Please make sure your sound switch is ON and then try triggering.

Steims, this is a head scratcher...6-24119 is an earlier model and can run on transformer or plug in adapter and has separate switch for foghorn?

For mine, I'll break out my old 1033 transformer and give it a whirl. The downside is that even if it works it would need a dedicated transformer with whistle button/lever as I run everything command control.

In reading pg. 4 of instructions (mine didn't have them but thanks to you and Vernon I found them no Lionel's website), my unit should at least have the barrel jack for a 12 volt 1000mA adapter, so it's evident my unit is a factory mistake or maybe Lionel's instructions are a mistake.

Yes.  Here are a couple pages out of the 6-24119 manual and you can see the setup.  There are even instructions on how to fire the sound from an ASC in command environment.  You don't have that option with 37910.
