The last time they updated their shipping schedule was March 22nd, 2022.

This is a big pet peeve of mine as I try to plan my expenses out per month so the lack of updates is not ideal.

I know it is hard for them to know the exact timing of the arrivals, but if they at least updated the schedule monthly, then it would give us a better idea than a 6-month-old report.

MTH publishes expected arrivals every two weeks.

Except that I cant find the Charlie Ro shipping schedule on their website...can you?

You put in the item number, then look at the description to see the estimated shipping date at Charles Ro.   I find Ro's dates more accurate than Lionel's.

Example of what to look for: ORDERS ACCEPTED-EXPECTED AVAILABILITY BY 11/10/2022

Should I be concerned that one of the items I ordered from the 2022 catalog has been removed from the trainworld site?  I still see it available for preorder at all the other online sites.   Specifically the 2222020 rocket booster set.

This set doesn't even come up on the Lionel Store website. Which has been a place to get update shipping dates in the product listing.

It might be worth a call or email to Trainworld to see if it's been cancelled.

I would think if you had a preorder with Trainworld that was cancelled they would let you know.

One of the wood coach sets I ordered from Charles Ro says March 2023.  The Lionel shipping schedule, which hasn't been updated in at least nine months, says Nov 2022.

MTH is/was no better at maintaining their schedules.  It seems to me it would take someone an afternoon to do so.

How do dealers, such as Charles Ro, get updated info?

B&A Berkshires according to CharlesRo are now forecast for 11/2023.  Entire year behind schedule.

Hopefully it's worth the wait for you Gary.

I had the first Legacy B&A berk and outside of the much improved powertrain, a large can motor in the firebox.

The rest of the locomotive was kind of ho hum, the sounds, no whistle steam etc.

With Lionels recent deliveries. I.e. the class a and the 0-6-0 to name a few. It seems like Lionel has been putting forth a good effort.

I wonder if the Berks are that far behind schedule due to lower-than-expected reservations. May not be the case, but could be a reason. Could be as simple as they are wanting to get them correct and not rush them through the production process.

No, the reason is even more funny.  The tooling was damaged.  Did some klutz drop it???  My guess, it's a total fabrication of new tooling hence the delay of a year.

I passed on the first Legacy version.  I've upgraded my two Kline berks so much, they are close to the first Legacy version in features anyway.   Only reason I'm getting one now is Mr. Muffins special run.

Interestingly enough - now it shows in stock and available at trainworld site.   Time to check on my pre-order.....

Something similar happened to me last year though I can't remember which model I was looking for. Thought something might have gotten cancelled when I couldn't find it on the schedule but other dealers were still offering pre-order. I went back to the Lionel Shipping schedule a few days later and they were listed again.

Well the new story I heard from someone at Lionel about the B&A berks is much more worse than this.  Would be nice if Lionel made an official announcement of what's up as I'm getting different stories.  But, we all know that won't happen.

Wow, the I-1s are due this November...didn't expect so soon. I really need to budget and most likely apply for another credit card close to that date as this and the E8 snowflake set would smoke my existing cards into oblivion . BTW: anyone know how accurate has the Legacy steam engine shipping schedules been in the past?

You're going to see eye-popping interest rates on those credit cards!   OTOH, there's a bunch that have intro 0% APR for over a year, those would be my choice.

5 Excellent Low Interest Credit Cards of 2023

Tighten up the seat belt if you go past the 0% introductory period, then the rates are 15% and up!
