Hello. I just purchased a Lionel 28748 TMCC Railsounds camelback locomotive , and I am having an odd problem. I run conventional with a Lionel KW transformer that was professionally rebuilt and this is my only transformer with a whistle controller. When I turn the whistle handle, the whistle blows, but it trips the reverse unit. I locked the engine into forward, and when I turn the handle, the whistle blows but the motor stops and the headlamp goes out. This is my only modern Lionel engine, but I put my MTH G5s with proto1 on afterwards and had no power interruptions when blowing the whistle.

I was wondering whether anyone had a similar problem when using an older transformer. I have no plans to add command control, but would a sound activation button possibly work better? Thank you, and I apologize if im posting this in the wrong area.
