Hi everyone,

I was lucky enough to find a Lionel Vision GG1 under my Christmas tree this year. Anyways, I figured I would upload this video really quick of the beast under my semi-complete catenary system. I believe this the first video of a new GG1 under the wires. Enjoy and happy holidays!

After seeing that video, I can't imagine NOT running the VisionLine GG1 under catenary.  And if Lionel were even marginally serious about marketing this product, they should have produced a video like this with the very first mock-up GG1 with the sparking pantograph.    The fact that they left this for a consumer to produce speaks volumes.

Very well done by the way, Max.    FWIW, if I were an executive at Lionel, I would send you another VisionLine GG-1 tomorrow for your brilliant efforts here... simply as a small token for doing what the product management team SHOULD have done almost a year ago.

David-

You have got that right. And they should have offered some over head catenary supports and wire to go with it.

Yes, definitely!

Very well done Max!  I never had an interest in a GG1 or catenary but your video definitely made me think WOW that is nice!

Thanks to all for the very kind words! It means so much to me!

Rocky Mountaineer, I totally agree. Lionel should have made a Cat system to compliment this train. They could then do more electric stiff too, like a metroliner. Also, 4899 please

To those that said that they don't agree and are angered by the negativity, I also agree. It is a beautiful train, and so much fun to run. That is really what counts.

BPARS, The catenary system is made by MTH. I believe that they are currently out of stock, but check with your dealer. I have the K-Line EP5 as well, and it is sweet under the wires.

Thanks again everyone!
