Can anyone explain to me why a TMCC locomotive while operating under CC would intermittently lose it and start running like a bat out of hell down the track?  I had this happen on two different occasions with two different locomotives.  My track and wheels are as clean as a whistle.

Thanks,

Well, there could be more to this than just TMCC signal lose.  Does this engine have ody or cruise?  Could be loose flywheel, or tach signal issues too.  Or just loss of serial data to motor driver.  Model number would help. G

It’s a k-line mikado and yes it’s has cruise.  I just installed a ERR cruise commander M board into it.  Also, have a Lionel Atlantic 4-4-2 with a cruise commander M installed and it does the same thing.  Sometimes it will totally stop until I hit the boost button on the legacy remote and then it will resume.

Blake,

Did your  atlantic have full factory installed  tmcc and sound  before you add CCM?

How long ago did you do the ccm conversion ?

Did you have any problem with sounds not working?

I just converted mine to CCM and lost sounds due to serial line issues and was wondering if you had issues?

Dave

Yes it came factory installed.

Did the conversation back in November.

Actually I did have a problem with the sounds not working but replaced the radio board and it worked fine after that.
