Would it be alright to leave the tach tape on the motor when doing a PS2 upgrade? How about the tach reader? I'm upgrading a RailKing 2-8-0 that has Locosounds. The tape and reader have been working fine as far as I can tell.

You can order a tach reader without the spacer, From MTH or me. They are 6.00.

Seems like this diverged into 3 separate topics.
I'm done with the install except for getting the tach reader installed (email sent Chuck) and then downloading the sound file.
Overall pretty easy task. Other than a couple of bumps getting the engine circuit board to fit (more of a surprise it didn't fit than hard to fix) it was a piece-o-cake.
