We like it too, but the building is so dark with the lights off that we couldn't move around easily/safely. Bought some solar accent lights that we're going to put under the bench work to light the aisles so we can move around more safely. That said, layout lighting is pretty cool with the building lights off.

If you run at night, the lack of detail does not show up!
I like it. looking from the alley into the garage at night , the layout looks great.

Nice video. I was just running in the dark last night. Gotta love it!!
I actually take the shells off some of mine, run them in the dark -- their incandescent's burning. Like 'em better that way really ... everything else dark as can be made.

Matt, if you want to give it that 3D look, put some glow stickers of stars and planets on the walls and ceiling.
Although...it might tend to induce vertigo. I was on a Navy ship where they put some on the bulkheads in their communications space and I couldn't move around without running into things! The stickers were different sizes and shapes and it made things right in front of you appear to be off in the distance. Not sure how long they were up before the CO made them take them down.
Thank you all for you kind posts. Love the black and white pictures.

Peter, I have friends in their 70's who still do that!

Very nice image. (Says it is a video but no movement?)
Man after my own heart LOL I always love running them in natural or lack of room lights.
Thanks for the videos
I've toyed with the idea of putting LED lighting the tracks... kind like runway lights I guess, just to see if it looked cool or not. You know, every engine needs runway lights to land in the dark, right?
