I don't want to sound heartless, but I have no sympathy for the man who got hurt.  He made a bad decision, and both he and the rest of us will have to live with his choice (he with his injuries, us having to pay for it through costs that get passed down).

I do feel sorry for his dog which died.  The dog had no choice, and trusted his human to take care of him.

FAIL! You sound TOTALLY HEARTLESS, even worse feeling more sorry for a DOG? WOW!

You have no idea what this person went through in life to be homeless. It could have been abusive parents or his parents could have been ideal parents doing all they could do and He got into drugs by hanging with bad influences.

I doubt this is where He dreamed of being in Life, but bad decisions have put Him in this predicament and now He'll be reminded of His choice for the rest of his life.

I, too, vote for the dog...animals have been dometicated and made dependent on humans (PRESUMED to be smarter and make better decisions) to take care of them,

and too often that is not the case.

As for parent, I think there was mention of the mother in one of these news clips,

which I only caught the tail end of, and a picture of a gondola in a Salt Lake yard?

I guessed?? he was in a gon full of steel plates that shifted (I heard none of that

if it was said, except for "steel plates").  All of us railroad nuts who have watched them bang cars together would be picky about ones selected to ride in, IF that was

what he was doing.....after a rash of murders commited some time ago by an alien

from south of the border who was hopping freights, and concerns about terrorism, I'd think that kind of joy riding would be harder to do.

Homeless, of course have slept in dumpsters, and...those trucks compact!
