I recieved the Menard's Morton Salt truck free with my last purchase from Menard's, I had no need for a salt truck so I converted to a Dairy truck to park next to my Milk platform.  I made the decals from some logos I got off of the internet.  I need some opinions on what I could have done better or what you like about it.

A little tip for anyone looking to make their own decals; don't bother going on you tube just follow these instructions.  Decal paper from Testors as it is the only you can buy off the shelf.  You need to also get their setting liquid a $ 1.59. Use a Hobby Lobby 40% coupon for the paper.  You folks on the East coast might have more choices.

After your get your paper and you obviously know you need a printer.  Do not buy the over priced Testors or any other brand clear coat spray. Buy the Krylon glossy, satin, or matte.  Print, spray, brush a small amount of setting fluid on the decal especially the edges, and done.  You can sit through a 40 minute video on youtube if want too.

Thank you for the great feedback all. There is little masking required when repainting these vehicles.  The only parts you need to mask are the mud flaps.  The cabs chrome parts, headlights, and mirrors all come off easily. You just need to push them out from inside the cab shell.  The visor is a separate peice and the horns are actually are attached to the windshield and that comes out very easily. I am super inpatient so if I can do it so can anyone. I was going for a black and white cow look.. the hood was a toss up between what is on it and a decal that looks like a splash of milk.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the original paint should be stripped off the cab only and for best results strip the paint.  I sprayed the cab and then baked it in the oven at 175 degrees for one hour and fifteen minutes.  I used the pictures tool to hold the shell while painting and baking.  I used three coats of Rustoleum 2x gloss black.2018-09-20 17.12.47
