When purchasing a Menard's accessory building, they indicate that a 4.5 v adapter is required. is there a way that I can connect them using DCS or a direct connection to a Z-4000 to control the brightness of lights in a group of buildings? thanks, Paul

If the lights are LED they cannot be easily dimmed.
Too much or little voltage could damage the lights or their wiring control circuit.
A MTH AIU port could turn lights on & off.
You would have to install separate 12 volt light bulbs inside the building if you want to control brightness with a power supply.
That's not really true, I dim LED's all the time. In point of fact, I can dim them from virtually off to full brightness very easily.
I earlier posts on LED lighting, I identified AC-DC Buck voltage regulators available from China dirt cheap. You can feed these from a train transformer AC and adjust the output voltage, which is DC.
