I just noticed that Mr Muffin has an L&N Berkshire listed with the custom run berks they are doing from the new 2024 catalog - I've always liked the L&N "Big Emma" berkshires - my question is why number 1951 ? - Is there any significance to that particular engine or is it just a random run of the mill L&N berk ?

It is the engine that is shown on the cover artwork of the December 1972 issue of Trains magazine - the complete issue was devoted to the L&N Big Emma berkshires - not sure if that factors in ?

I really like this engine and will probably pre-order one

Thanks in advance

Joe S
