Good evening...I have an MTH 408e with the later versio of PS2. The engine starts up, lights come on and sounds but no movement. I've reset the engine to factory settings but still no movement! Any ideas?

Thanks,

Sunrise

This sounds like you're saying it doesn't move in conventional, right?

Later PS2 isn't 9 volts. Do the sounds continue after shutdown?

I also think it maybe the battery then. Do you get the horn blasts after resetting? Does the sound drop out when trying to get out of neutral?

Are you lowering the voltage enough when switching out of neutral?

What transformer are you using?

Thanks for the replies...a little more info...I’m using the z4000. I used the DCS explorer to reset the engine. The engine starts up like it should...the lights come on and sounds...I press the  direction button and the bulbs change directions like they should...the horn and bell sounds work...just sits there in neutral. Perhaps it’s the reverse unit? Is that separate from the PS2 boards? I tried it with the DCS explorer and just the transformer with same results.
