I am still contemplating the MTH DCS system, and using it together with my TMCC. But my question is about something I read in the MTH brochure. It says "Linear Track Length Measurement Meter" Does this mean you can run a Proto Sound 2 engine, and actually get the real footage of your trackage?? Please explain. Thanks!!

Yes you can measure the scale miles
Jeff,
That would be the "Measure Route" soft key.
This and a whole lot more is all in “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition!" This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at OGR’s web store! |
So, if it is scale miles, can I figure out the feet of track by multiplying the scale miles by 1/48 and then multiplying by 5280 feet per mile? If so, how do I do this on a Standard Scale model?
Thanks,
George
George,

To get scale feet of track, you would just multiply the scale miles by 5,280.
To get actual feet of track, you would divide the scale miles by 48 and then multiply by 5,280.
Thank you for confirming.
OK Thanks. Now I know it is only scale distance, but can be converter with your formula!!
