Just received my MTH Demonstrator. There have been prior comments on this unit so I will not elaborate. It is bright sharp colors with great sound.

Nice, looks great.
This Locomotive is a Fairbanks Morse "Train Master" - two words.
A railroad company officer is a "Trainmaster."
Beautiful engine. I have always loved the Train Masters.

I've been after the folks at MTH to offer THAT for years, after they re-tooled their model of the FM Train Master. Alas, this demonstrator scheme is NOT available in 2-Rail with fixed pilots and full length hand rails. Darn!

NICE! At Least MTH updated their paint scheme from the Ps-1 version back in the 1990's. HEadlight is incorrect for the demo model on the short hood but it still looks great!

Please tell me these are not the old truck blocks that cannot easily be converted to 2-rail? The rest is relatively easy, and worth it for such a good-looking model. If I didn't have three converted K-Lines, I would be after one of these.

Don't know what you mean, but MTH totally retooled the scale "Premier" FM Train Master models a few years ago, and they are now offered in 3-Rail with swinging pilots, as well as 2-Rail with fixed pilots and scale wheels.

I am looking for a roadNUMBER TM-1 of the new special uncatalogued MTH run.
If anyone has an 'extra', can trade for same but as a TM-2 or possibly purchase.

My engines are all MTH ... someday I hope to add the Lionel CCII locos ...
If it helps, I tried to recall the difference by using the FM TM initials, or a single word/single man association.
And I usually just use the initials themselves after the initial thought about the trains long name.
Pretty, way better than the old swinging pilots for expressing that climb up too, but I still like the old Red Tops best
