MTH Premier SD40-2's with pictures

I wonder why the SOO LINE did not have a reflective white stripe decal on the side sills of their SD40-2s.

Did the real SOO Line SD40-2 units have "reflective white stripes" when delivered?

All of the pictures of the Soo Line SD40-2 I can find do not show reflective stripes when they were delivered plus pictures from 2004 still show no reflective stripes. BTW, they were delivered in the white paint with red on cab. Pictures from 1990 show them in the red paint scheme with white lettering and without reflective stripes.

The reflective stripes on engines weren't required until 2005 and the railroads had 5 years to make it happen. Soo Lines by that time was being fully incorporated into CP and being repainted.
