They can be wired to work in one direction or wired through a switch to be selectable.  But no automatic reversing function by direction button.  They have no logic chips like the DCRU.  All logic comes from Top board on the PS-1 stack.  What you have is the power supply and coupler feature on the bottom PS-1 board.

QSI PS-1 had a DCRU, a middle Power Supply board, and a TOP sound board (like PS-1).  IF you want a coupler you added a 4th board.

Hence MTH demand for an integrated 2 piece board.   G
