Get me a rockin’ chair and a LARGE jug of sweet tea and I will sit out on the front porch and collect admission from all your visitors.
GREAT JOB on the whole project. Now the fun starts. Congratulations.

Looks fantastic and it'll be done just in time for train layout buildin' season. I don't know where you live but is it heated?
In general, what type of layout are you planning? traditional postwar? Scale and highly detailed? Tinplate?
O, S, HO or Standard gauge (or combination thereof)?
Type of track? Conventional operation or digital?
I look forward to seeing many update posts on your layout's build and progression.
I am one jealous 'Ski, there is so much fun in store for you

Hey Ski,
So my layout is going to be totally legacy/TMCC control with complete automation using the LCS control system and the Etrain console software. There is a 18000 BTU heat pump installed through the wall for comfort control. It’s O gauge and I will be using Lionels fastrack. The layout shown has been expanded to a 10 x 16 with an O60 outside and O48 inside radius. I will incorporate several operating accessories that both loads and unloads their product. Basically, I want this layout to entertain me and my guest rather than for me to have to operate IT.

Great looking building Blake.
Living on a 60 X 100 lot I get really envious of you guys with large properties. Hope you get trains running before Spring.

Thank RS!
I hope to have at least the track down with accessories in action by the spring. You know it’s a slow process.

Steve,
The best that I can come with is “The Shop”. LOL
Blake, Well then "The Shop" it is! Keep having fun.
Steve
Just a passing thought here, but what if you slipped a 'Train' in between 'The' and 'Shop'?
Also the building turned out great and looks great too! Very Nice!!!

Blake,
You are the man! The building looks tremendous and as Mark said, will be a nice home for your layout. I must say now I have to run to the grocery store and stock up on popcorn and beverage. The real show is about to begin...
Dave
Looks great, Blake!
I'm sorry Mark! I put the wrong name in my last entry. Corrected!
Dave
Blake, I just saw this thread. The building is outstanding. You have a great space for the layout. Looking forward to the build.

Nice building. I would reconsider the Lionel Fastrack. With a lot of action this will be noisy.

Hi Chris,
I have a plan to take out much of the noice with fastrack.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Anxious to learn how you plan making the Fastrack less noisy and then actually hear the result of that plan.
Blake, That Mianne installation looks great!
One question. What are the long openings and extra cross braces for that I circled in a copy of one of your photographs? Thank you.

Mark, looking at the legs below, I’ll guess a lift up access section?
