Need help matching Pennsy Green paint

Take it to Lowes and have them do a computerized exact color match. Also their paint can be thinned for use in an airbrush if you prefer that over brush application.

If you are referring to PRR "DGLE" (Dark Green Locomotive Enamel", I've always heard that ScaleCoat Paint had the best so-called "Brunswick Green" color match for PRR "DGLE".

Of course, the common name is Brunswick Green.  Scale Coat makes it in bottle and spray can, but that doesn't mean it matches the MTH color.  My favorite color.  Black with a drop or two of green.  Good luck.

Scale coat says its for plastic. Im guessing it will work just fine on metal surfaces as well?

There are two kinds of ScaleCoat paint, i.e. ScaleCoat and ScaleCoat II. The ScaleCoat II might be ok for plastic, but I have always use "regular" ScaleCoat for metal (touching up areas on MTH steam loco running gear).

Black with a drop of ANYTHING is still black! MTH just like k-line may have just used black paint.

Not really. Please go to the PRR Technical & Historically Society and find out what DLGE actually is. Contrary to "old wives tails", it is NOT "a 55 gallon drum of black paint with a quart/gallon of green paint added"!

I touched up a mth gp9 with Tamiya black green and black mix . They are water based and are available in most hobby shops.  MTH's  Brunswick green is a lot greener than scalecoats color which I believe may be more accurate to prototype
