Dear Al,

I wonder if you're having any problems with warping - these are very flat objects and I can imagine they tend to bend quite a lot. I am currently experimenting on similar stuff and have not yet really found a solution other than backing the part to something indeformable like brass profiles or the like.

Al is a great modeler.

I love those old industrial buildings. We are starting to see more in O these days, a bit too late for many. Seems we’ve been overloaded through the years with barns and old timey wooden western structures.

I built this one back in 2011. Maybe some day it will have a home?

WARPING:  easy rule... too thin it will warp.

So to avoid the warp but still have the thin, do what CSX AL , did

add vertical parts ( and/or horizontal parts) between the thin parts that are thicker.

ALSO since CSX AL's frames are actually 2D models with 3D reliefs;

you can add the thicker parts on the opposite side where it won't be seen.

This is a very impressive project and a clever idea to make use of space. I'm always interested in ways to hide the boundaries of a layout and this is great!

Im an FDM printer guy. I kind of assumed SLA prints didn't warp. Is warp a common issue for SLA?
