New Lionel 0-6-0

Lionel has a unpainted sample of their new scale 0-6-0 switcher on display at York. It looks really great. Much better than the catalog photo. Wish I'd taken my camera.

Mike said it is based on the K Line boiler but with more prototype detail. The chassis/frame/motor is all new Lionel. More detail, more power, smoother running. Prototype PRR asymmetrical driver spacing so it's not the old 8976 frame.

I think we're going to be happy with this one.

That sounds cool. I'd love to have a nice Legacy version of that someday, particularly with the asymmetrical spacing of the drivers.
