hello,

just want to introduce myself. My name is David, I live in Canada- have been with Linel since 1972. I run mainly MPC both passenger and freight. Have bought a 115 station and a couple of trolleys. My layout is semi automatic with great signals, mainly pre war and a load of Marx signals too.

i need a spot of help rewriting my 115 station. The wire on the strip is cut; is is an easy fix? I also need to rewire some signal sole lids- how long should the wire be?

ill post some pix soon

Welcome Dave!

The 155 is a nice station. the wire around the heat strip is nichrome wire. It may be worth a shot to try to sneak a solder connection in there, but I am guessing it gets pretty hot. You would have shield the solder from the metal strip.

here's a link for a parts diagram. (they use the same unit) A quick search resulted in two vendors having the entire replacement unit-one original 115-14and (see-parts list) and one has the modern MTH remake version.132-214

You could also call Chuck Sartor in Denver at 'O'nly 3rail. he may have a thermostatic strip 99-14, or the unit also.

There was a debate about what should be next to the clock in a thread this past year. Screens, red or gold frames, or stained glass.
