Okay everybody. We really need you to think this way; MTH Parts & Sales LLC is a new start up company, with no ties to the MTH Electric Trains business, aside from sharing warehouse space. That said, this new site is a COMPLETE departure from what existed before. We carried over NOTHING, aside from existing part numbers (without a dash).

Remember this; you have to register, then be verified, before placing orders, the system is entirely new. Whatever you had on backorder (sans PS 3 tender boards and PS 3 diesel upgrade kits) do not exist in the new system. You will need to order those parts again (or get added to the wish list to be notified when they return to stock).

Mr Sartor, Thank you for your continued feedback. We just sat here (not a minute ago) and tested the entire password recovery process. I will explain it again so others can understand how it works;

Go to http://www.mthpartsandsales.com

Click on the small figure outline on the top RH corner of your screen ("My Account") if you are not currently logged into the system you will be prompted with the Login / Register screen.

On the LH side, where it prompts you to "log in" scroll down the page and click "Forgot Password?"

A dialog box will appear asking for your email address. Enter your email address (use the email address you created your account under).

Now click the button for "GET PASSWORD"

Check your email inbox, an email will arrive within seconds from "orders@mthpartsandsales.com"

Click the link provided in the email, (it says RESET PASSWORD") it will take you to the website where you can enter your new password (you have to enter it twice to make sure you can remember it within 2 seconds of just typing it.

Then click "CHANGE PASSWORD". After that, you have successfully changed your password.

Now, when you get to the "My account" screen and it prompts you to "log in" use your email address you registered with and your NEW password (that you just entered twice to be sure you remembered it) and you're in the site.

We can tell what your username is, we do not track passwords, so we are unable to tell anyone what their passwords are (which seems to make sense as to why we included a reset password feature?.....)

Very important; The reset password link is ONLY VALID for 60 minutes. After that it expires and you have to restart the process all over again.

As I have mentioned several times, I am not a computer guy, so if you have a plethora of additional software added to your computer that may be blocking your link from working? It works fine on all 3 of the machines here in Elkridge,, MD. In fact I tried it when you sent your first message to me at 1:50pm EDT and again just a few minutes ago at 7:07pm

Okay, its been a long exhausting week, I still need to drive home to NC in the morning. Have a great weekend everyone.

Thank you,
Mike Reagan

I have a pair of "unidentified" cabin car trucks sitting in front of me; when I went to the site and saw the "Service Parts click here" icon, there was the exact cabin car truck. I did not even have to enter the site to find out some information that I needed! I will take the time later to watch the videos and look for what I want. Thank you, Mike, for all that you are doing.

I still cannot get the reset password button to work. Perhaps a computer Guru and tell me what I am doing wrong. I have fallowed Mike's directions to a tee. Everything works as described up to where it says 'Reset Password' dialog box. I click on it and nothing happens after that. The lettering in the dialog box turns blue. I have cleared any history and turned off any filters. When I click on one of the links below the dialog box, I get a 404 error message. I believe Mike when he says all is well at his end, but I can't figure whats wrong at mine. Anybody with any ideas?

Thank you, Chuck SartorIMG_0850IMG_0849IMG_0851

Chuck,

It could be your browser.  What browser are you using?

Start simple first though.  You might want to try rebooting the PC and attempting the reset password again immediately afterward.

MTH Parts Site – WOW!!!!!!!!!

I’m blown away! I found the AAR Boxcar grab irons!

PRODUCTION QUALITY ISSUE –

As some may know, the lower grab iron on one side was generally not glued during production and falls off on hundreds of AAR cars.

No more stripping 2011,12,13, 14 York – TCA shells for these parts.

Going forward, MTH might want to check into this issue.

Great site, with photos too!

Thanks all,

S.
