With the announcement of this engine, would have been nice to see at least one vendor offer the New Hope and Ivyland #7087 as a custom. Perhaps get the maroon body closer than Lionel did on the GP-30 excursion set. Should pre-order based on the success of the set. There is interest in the NH&I - METCA doing 2-8-0 #40 for example (have that one on order as well).
Wonder if the NH&I entered into an exclusive license deal with Lionel, and only they can produce NH&I liveried product?

Chris, I alsohave ordered the METCA 2-8-0 to go with the GP-30 cars from Lionel's excursion set plus the exclusive add on passenger car available only at the NH gift shop. Wish someone would do a NH&I open air excursion car and a caboose too.
Btw, Hennings Trains in Lansdale, PA have custom runs of RMT's NH&I ore cars and a NH&I Bucks County Farms woodside milk reefer.
Yes, have the Hennings offerings on preorder as well. Agreed the open air would be a great addition! If one of the big manufacturers would invest in the tooling, I'm sure they'd make their money back and more. It could be offered in just about every tourist railroad livery in the country.
