Hey guys.

This video was produced highlighting my Lionel Amtrak Superliner passenger cars. The cars are in the Phase IV paint scheme. These cars are all aluminum and were produced in 2004, almost 20 years ago. Available at that time was a (4) car set of Coaches (6-15394), a (2) car set consisting of a Sleeper Car and the unique "Sightseer Lounge" car (6-29165), plus a separate sale Dining Car (6-29168) with Station Sounds (Empire Builder). Supplementing the train are a few MTH Superliner cars. The full baggage, Transition Crew Car and another Sleeper are MTH. The additional "Express" high speed box cars are Lionel and MTH.

Motive power is Genesis (P40 series). All of the locomotives are Lionel.

It has been a long time since a manufacturer produced a series of Amtrak Superliner cars. If you can find a 7-car set of the Lionel cars, be prepared to spend some big dollars. 3rd Rail (GGD) produced a scale set a number of years ago that unfortunately never seems to be available anywhere and would cost a few thousand dollars. I would love to see a reissue of the plastic MTH Superliner Cars. I believe Atlas now owns the molds so maybe we will see them in the future.

Please enjoy the video. If so, please leave a "like" and / or a comment. They will help me grow my channel. Also, consider subscribing to my Channel. It is FREE to subscribe, and you will receive up to date notifications of all my new videos.

Thanks!

Donald

Well Don, Another great video. I don't know how you do it. My only concern is , what happened to the 1967 Chevelle SS that was at the coffee shop?  I had one exactly like that when I was mcu younger. Again, the whole video is spectacular. Bill Park

Thank you Bill. I put in a lot of late nights! You have a good eye. I like to mix up the cars and trucks. Your Chevelle is parked over at Union Station. I assume you will be going on a long distance trip!
