I have an O gauge train/track installed on the ceiling train setup and am experience noise when operating the train.  It's probably the steel wheels on the steel track and am wondering about solutions.  I did use a cork roadbed and that evidently didn't do much in sound attenuation.  Any suggestions?

Always amazed me as to how quiet the 2 rail, scale boys trains operate.   i don't know why, but the sound those trains make, without recorded engine sounds, is much less than our, 3 rail trains make.  Both are "0" gauge; both move along at similar speeds, the weights of the cars and engines are similar, both tracks are properly laid with cork, vinyl or rubber roadbed, but still, the 3 rail trains sound ever so much louder.

Any theories as to why this seems to be the case?
