Just thought to give a heads up to people in Ohio & Northeast Ohio that NS SD9043MAC the Ex. Indiana Railroad still in Indiana Railroad paint #7337 is headed west as of 12:10PM in North Adams MA. He should be on NS Westbound Intermodal 23K. Now 23K heads into Buffalo and takes the NS Lake Erie District into Conneaut, through Ashtabula, over the Painesville Trestle, through Mentor & Willoughby into Cleveland over the flats, then through the back part of Rockport Yard. Through Berea and heading west towards Toledo and then onto Chicago. But I thought I would post this to see if anyone sees him as this is a train to catch before their painted into NS paint. To keep track of this unit, click here - https://www.heritageunits.com/...motive/Detail/NS7337    Now he's not leading the train. He's trailing 2nd or 3rd. But still, if I know I can see him during the day, I'm going to try real hard to see him. Now he also might come through during the night. But it looks like he'll be through Ohio this Sunday. Why these engines are very rare in Ohio, is because Indiana Railroad is in Indiana. NS bought 4 Indiana Railroad NS SD9043MAC's so they can convert them to an SD70ACU. So to see an Indiana Railroad unit on a mainline train in NEO, is very rare and come to think of it nevered happened till recently when this same unit #7337 came through on a Eastbound Grain 41N to Buffalo and then back west on Intermodal 205 and then back east of 22K and then now back west on 23K for Chicago.

INRD is only leasing them, and needs fewer locos due to the downturn in coal traffic, ( a couple of big INRD served power plants have switched to natural gas) so they turned some of them in, and the leaser sold them to NS.  Plus, INRD does contract repair work on the rest of the leaser's SD9043MAC fleet, so if they need more power in a pinch, there is often extra power on the property that they can rent.

Saw one of these units go through Port Clinton,OH  the other day.  We seen a spike in UP engines going through and leading but I never put it together that they were the SD-90 units until I saw the I Indiana engine passing through

Thaddeus, that be the same one you saw then #7337. It has gone through Port Clinton twice so far. To Joe's comment, yea, that's not my video, but for my train videos today, I use a tripod. I only pan the camera anymore if it's a Heritage Unit.

Well I figured. 7337 passed the Chesterton Indiana Railcam this morning westbound at 10:30AM on 23K. That's 19 hours from Horseheads NY spotted at 3:05PM yesterday. Anyway, I'll just have to wait and see what happens after he comes back Eastbound. Maybe he'll be on 22K and come through at around 9PM so I could see him a few days later on 23K. But again, were getting closer the NS Christmas Shutdown. I'll just have to see what happens.
