NS AC44C6M #4002, which I caught here in Hudson Ohio back on Sat 7/15/17, was the first converted DC to AC power unit out of Roanoke VA, but was the official 3rd AC44C6M made. #4000 and 01 were the first 2 made up at  GE/American Motive Power, Inc in Dansville NY.  #4003 was also made at Roanoke, but 4004 & 4005 were made in Altoona.

I know a lot of  guys bad mouth the NS paint scheme but I think they look sharp.

I am with Jim and the rest of us, I love them all.  Best combination of functional and cool.

Almost forgot to add. Well thursday isn't over just yet.     I took this photo in Rootstown Ohio back on Sunday Oct 1st, 2017 of a train meet.

I guess I made it by 30 minutes (eastern time anyway).  Love this thread and I look forward to Thursday.  A friend of mine took these last May during the 611 run so I can't take credit but really, can we get enough of the J?

PS- I know there is no thoroughbred visible!

Took this back on Labor Day - Mon Sept 4th, 2017 of NS eastbound freight 34N lead by NS AC44C6M #4059, Lackawanna Heritage Unit SD70ACe #1074 trailing 2nd and Carload Express MP15AC switcher #1559 trailing 3rd in Rootstown Ohio.

                  A crew is switching JBS with a remote controlled cabless genset. The genset is pulling big brother Dash 9 unto the turntable to move it to a different shall track.
