Custom repaint and a very good one at that. Lionel never offered the EP5 in NYC.

Very nice work. Looks like no paint issues at the cab doors and handrails. In the original picture can you see if there is any decal sheen alongside by the stripes?

Hard to see in this pic - I'll check the slide next time I have the projector up.
I suspect this is Len Capperelli's work...
My uncle did some repaints - but I think he was more a rattle can and rubber stamp guy - and did mostly steamers.
Wow! Somebody put a lot of work into that! Very Nice just from the pictures alone.
