Any markings on that? What's the overall length?

That's a WW2 era GMC GCCW 2 1/2 ton truck (wheeled vehicles didn't have "M" designations until after WW2 was over). The version in 'Nam (most often the M-35 series once the war was really going) was a couple of designs past this one.

I hope some day to add Conrail and Amtrak trains to supplement my steam PRR and contemporary Norfolk Southern interests. I have two vehicles in anticipation of that day. The 1999 Crown Victoria is a Road Champs that I recently picked up on eBay.  It is my favorite vehicle.  I've long been partial to the Massachusetts State Police paint job and matching troopers' uniforms. The car is posing in front of the Wright Tavern in Concord, Mass.

Before I got the Crown Vic, the 1987 Dodge Ram Pickup from Premium X Models was my favorite due to its fine detail for a reasonable price.  It is posing in front of the Ayer Junction commuter station, which also has a freight line passing through. I really like Dodge's current styling and hope to add some cars for my NS run when I find some in my range (cheap).

If I had a postwar layout, I'd for sure have a Tucker Torpedo on it somewhere. I've seen several of them in museums over the years. There's a very good condition one at the Lemay museum somewhat near where I live (and I'm also a member there) and I never get tired of looking at it. Here are a couple of shots I took of it on the opening day of the museum:

My parents live in Tallahassee, Florida and there's a museum there with another Tucker, along with the mockup Tucker (a Studebaker, I think) used in the wreck scene in the movie about Tucker himself. The two make a great display there...

Two vehicles.

Any 1970's NY MYA Fishbowl Bus (SIRT had some photos earlier in this thread) reminds me of my youth, and a late 1970's Trans Am like this one.

1979 Trans Am

Sure the Trans Am had its detractors, but I've always loved them, although never owned one.  If I was mechanically inclined, I would own a 1979-1981 Turbo Trans Am (in White & Blue like the photo, not the Smokey & Bandit colors).  But as I can't repair a car, and the CEO would never permit me to spend the high $$$ on one of the professional restored ones, a dream it will remain.  As far as she's concerned, if I can pay high $$$ on a 35-year old car, then I have should no problem buying a new $40K + SUV, LOL

Did I mention I love GM Fishbowl buses?  (Photo I took at my desk this evening)  The Green one is a Busch HO Scale, the Blue one I bought off Feebay and is 1/72 scale.

That you didn't take it out of the box. Production on all Dukes stuff ends 12/31/15 so if you want one...get it now.

My favorite is not allowed on the layout....too new!!!

But I own a 1/1 scale version....so I had to have it. I may sneak it on for a 'Back to the Future' like moment now and then,

If you ever get East, I recommend stopping at the (rather obscure) Swigart Museum, in Huntingdon, PA.  They have two Tuckers, including the Tin Goose prototype.

My own layout (set vaguely in 1935-55) has both a Tucker and a '54 Kaiser parked by the schoolhouse.
