Hi everyone, it doesn't happen that often at all, but I've noticed that every once in a while my lionchief Hogwarts will have all it's sounds stop for a couple seconds then continue no issue. I recently received the engine and tender from Lionel after they had to replace the tender because the sounds completely stopped altogether, and their paper said they ran it for one hour with no issues. Other than this occasional sound stopping, it runs and sounds great. Any idea what could be the issue here and what I can do? By the way it only cuts out when running, while stopped it has no cut outs. Thanks

If it is a frayed wire, I found a product called liquid tape. It comes in a small jar and has a brush on the lid that makes it easier to apply to your frayed wire. It's meant to help cover up and protect frayed wires, basically like regular electric tape, but since it's such a small wire in a confined space, this would be the best option. It has to dry for 24 hours before you can use the item it's applied to again, and is not supposed to chip off, or crack. Would this be a good option to use if it is a frayed wire?

I took a closer look at the engines drawbar and noticed that on one of the 4 metal prongs, there was a small black speck of what I assume is some sort of build up, so I carefully scraped it off, and now the engine drawbar is clean as a whistle. So I put it on the track and ran it non stop for about 10 minutes straight, and so far haven't heard the first issue whatsoever. Perhaps that speck of buildup on the engine drawbar was the issue?
