Sign me up for a Legacy  J.

In the interim I am kit bashing a clone, it needs lots of "body work", but I have at least started the project. I started with an 8 Wheel chassis added a can motor, and a Dallee  reverse unit.  The front of the Locomotive shell is a Silver Bullet married to a 283 cab section.  The tender is a Hudson with the rivets and detail ground off the sides. As stated lots of body work left to do.  Pay no attention to the station in the background, that is for my G gauge outdoor train loop.

Go directly to scale Legacy, Pass Go, Collect $900.00.

You'll also need to go directly to minimum 54" curves and a large layout.

(BTW, nothing new about asking for a semi-scale J - a number of us in previous threads going back awhile have been asking for a LionMaster or at least a Lionchief Plus N&W J. Obviously, Lionel has yet to deliver.)

This thread is in the S Scale Trains Forum.

Every locomotive Lionel has made for American Flyer will negotiate R20 (20" radius) and is very likely to do so in the future.
