What days, times and halls are open to the general public. What halls are most likely to have 2 rail equiptment

In the past, I have found two rail equipment in all of the halls at one time or another. There is no set pattern. Unfortunately, I have found more two rail stuff in the members halls than the dealers halls and I think the dealers halls are the ones open to the public.
The dealer halls, orange and purple, as well as the black hall which houses the modular layouts are open to the public on Friday and Saturday. Friday hours are from 9am-6:30pm and Saturday's hours are from 9am-3pm. As for 2 rail trains, the dealer halls may not have the biggest selection (mostly 3 rail stuff) although I've seen some here and there. The member halls would probably have a bit more to offer, otherwise you can convert 3 rail stuff you buy.

Great as the York Meet is--especially for us 3-railers--I expect you'll be a bit disappointed if you're looking for 2-rail O scale unless you take your chances and scout out stuff in the various member halls. To do that, you'll need to join the TCA (which you can do at the event). Not much in the way of 2-rail O will be found in the two major dealer halls (Orange and Purple) which are open to the public. There are some fine 2-rail O scale shows held at various venues and dates around the country. You might try a Google search for O Scale Train Shows (or some such).

To do that, you'll need to join the TCA (which you can do at the event).
A person can attend one time as a guest. Someone at the registration table will sign you in. You must show ID, the Eastern Division keeps track.

May very well be. I'm not certain about that, but it should turn up in a Google search.
I am also a 2 railer but I love going to York. It’s true you won’t find much 2 rail equipment there and the 2 rail equipment can be in any hall. There is a vendor who is always in the Orange Hall. His name is Howard Serig and he almost always has only 2 rail equipment on his tables. He is located slightly down an aisle somewhat close to the Lionel display. Over the years I have bought 2 locomotives from him and a bunch of cars. He is a great guy with prices that are fair.
I go to York to see the manufacturers displays, see old friends, and basically look for things that pertain to both 2 rail and 3 rail like structures but everyone is different. Last April York I found a US Hobbies NYC Niagara in the Orange Hall (not at Howard’s table) for $700. I wanted it but didn’t have enough money with me.
Just wanted to give you some information. If you want to see a lot of 2 rail equipment you will be better off going to Strasburg which is a great show. I usually don’t go to that because I work weekends and I don’t really need more trains.
